Brown Shrikes in my backyard

After a few weeks of feasting on Pinoy bugs, the Brown Shrikes that took residence around my backyard have become much nicer looking.
This is in contrast to their emaciated appearance when they arrived after a long migration flight early this month. I'm getting better pictures of this species
courtesy of the 40D's Live View manual focus. Downside is these birds' voracious appetite for bugs is making it more difficult for me to find macro subjects...:)
