The Manfrotto 468RC4 replaced my old Slik Pro 800 ball head. It performed flawlessly in the field.
Together with my 455B legs, the combo provided the stable support for the 20D + 400 5.6L + Tamron 1.4x TC
in taking the pics of the perched Crested Serpent-Eagle and Tarictic Hornbill in this gallery.
These shots were taken at a distance of over 60 meters. The controls of the 468RC4 are located conveniently,
and functioned smoothly. It's huge capacity of 16 kg is a quantum leap compared to the Slik Pro 800's 3 kg.
