I get Orioles in my back yard every Spring and have for decades. Last Spring in 2018 there was a small flock of them, about 6-7. Some years I only see one or two.

I just saw one in Severna Park, Md. I've lived in Maryland all of my life and this is only the second I've ever seen. The first was in the early 2000's or late 90's

I thought Baltimore Oriole was all black...like a crow.

I live in Charles County, Maryland. In the early 90's, Orioles were all over the place. Once it reached about 2001, I never saw anymore. They used to be everywhere. All I see now are Robins. What gives?

I live in Timonium, MD. Every year, I see the Orioles up high in trees in my area. They are returning from their winter grounds. Unfortunately, I have not succeeded in getting them to come to my feeder. I've tried oranges, grape jelly, and nectar. I read that sometimes, orioles are only interested in fruit when they first return to their breeding areas. I'm now trying to attract them by feeding meal worms and wax worms. No luck yet. I'm thinking next year, the feeder will be out earlier... April 1st.

Also, be sure to feed them separately from other birds. They tend to be more on the shy side.

I've been living in Maryland for the last 7 years, I have finally seen an oriole today! They are so vibrantly orange-colored...just beautiful.
