I must have a family of this little beauty also. They have been eating my homemade suet cakes, they hang upside down also feeding on my finch feeders. I love they lettle birds. Thank You for these pictures they all are so good! I also live in Salisbury Maryland near the river. Your site will be very usefull to me for I also love watching and taking pictures of the birds. Thanks

I am wondering is this the type of bird I see near my house and feeding staion. They are small and FAST flyers. Their heads being marked so remind me of our helmet of salvation as Christians. Other birds colorful body parts (i.e. the robin's breast - the breastplate of righteousness) bring the same to mind. What do you see and what does it speak to you. God did it!

We have a family of these that build a nest in our covered deck EVERY YEAR.
I think they already had one "litter" and then came back for a second round.
It's either that or it's a second pair.

I saw one of these today at our feeder and they are so tiny and cute! I just loved seeing him there!
