The Surrey Street Rodders' marvellous event every Easter is in its 30th year. This year in a new home, the Rushmoor Arena. What a glorious day out.

I've been into cars since I was 16 - always oldies, mainly end of the 50s - it started with the Chelsea Cruise in the late 70s and drag racing at Blackbushe Airport who would have thought I'd end up living a mile from it?!) - meeting david was licence to do all that stuff again. Today has been so exciting - for the first time in my life I've been in a really nice car at a show. We've been in the show arena and we've been looked at by passers by. It's taken till I'm 43 to make it but I've got there. Thanks David!

Here is a small selection of what I loved at the show. You can see my taste - chrome and fins. It's not everyone's taste but it's my gallery not theirs! For me the ultimate car was the black Cadillac Coupe de Ville - just wonderful. My only complaint? Not a single 3 window back Cresta - in fact only two Crestas and a single Velox.

I'm sorry if I missed anyone's precious baby but some of the things I wanted to photograph were just too surrounded by people and clutter.
