26th February 2007 - unwrapped

Am I craving crème eggs? If so why?

Nah – I’m not, except in a photographic sense. I have just had a few ‘ideas’ concerning said indulgent foodstuffs and DM has reaped the benefit because I can’t stand the nasty little things – ugh – way too sweet for a savoury-toothed soul like me. I did, though keep Cadbury in profit by buying a little box of four eggs to photograph in different guises.

The ‘sweetest’ I go in food terms is stuff like peanut butter and even though it is notionally classed as a sweet spread, I don’t see it me-self – for me, it’s savoury through and through. Sweetcorn too rocks my boat and I suppose you could call that sweet, though it’s in a savoury sort of way!

Is this just a subconscious craving because my weight-loss is back on its way again – I had been more than a bit fed-up not to have gone down any further since Christmas. Today though, I got on the scales and BINGO, I had shed another pound and now am the lowest weight I’ve been for donkey’s years – 1 ¼ stone and counting.

Perhaps it’s just a subconscious craving for a bit of fuel because I’m bloody frozen again, having had a hissy fit over leaving a radiator on all weekend, I turned the thing off this morning and my office’s temperature plummeted very quickly indeed.

Anyway, crème egg is now in DMs tummy (yum he says) and I am on the way to cook our meal.

Last year, it was colder than it is now for sure!

1 1/4 stone!!! That's way too light, do you have a touch of anorexia?

I'm with you Linda - can't stand those sweet eggs. Give me some 80% cocoa chocloate anyday. Well done on the weight loss, just remember to cut food up into small pieces to let the calories evaporate before eating.....

If DM gets fed up with them we can put them to good use!

Nice shot! But, like you this would not be my treat of choice.--Rene

Yuck! I remember really wanting one of these but not wanting to spend the money on one. Then I tasted one…it was way too sweet!

Nice crinkly foil, though!

I think Cadburys owe you for boosting their sales figures! Much too sweet for me though.
