If you’d asked me a year ago whether it would be comfortable to live in a house with no heating, I’d have said ‘no way’ but I have been proven wrong.

This little cottage is amazingly cosy with very little effort from us. The only thing supplying any warmth is our wood burner and yet, here we are, basking in a steamy 25 degrees c (still can’t get into my thick skull how to do a degree sign, even though I’ve been told several times).

DM has become a demon with the fire, he has worked out how to get it ticking over just enough to keep us warm and to not go out overnight so we get up equally cosy. He’s my hero.
