I’m still trying with this shape and texture thingy so today I’ve tried for shiny and smooth contrasting with the hairy, jagged stuff.
I must say this sort of pic does nothing for me, I’m not even sure I like it so I can’t imagine why any one else should. The rosehips are such a glorious colour that this seems like a terrible waste to me really.
Today, as you know, I promised DM I’d do nothing so I’ve been trying to do nothing. It’s been killing me. I’ve ended up sat at my PC for most of the day, sorting out photos to send to Photobox for printing and writing nonsense. I had this idea for a series of short stories so I’ve sat down and written two today. Well at least I’ve not done anything too physical.
These rosehips are lovely. The leaf of this wild rose is pale grey and the hips are big and showy compared to the small, fragile flowers that precede them. They reminded me of a little story from Wednesday night.
I was on the dance floor, whirling about my hooped petticoat and dancing with a crowd of our youngsters and a record came on the disco that it was clear they all knew really well. They were all singing along at the tops of their voices. I must say, I didn’t care for it much so I yelled in Cassie’s ear (Cassie is one of our stars) ‘I must be really old because I’ve never heard this before’. She yelled back ‘you’re not OLD Linda, you’re too COOL to know it – it’s Justin Timberlake’. I must admit to being a bit chuffed to have a young woman in her mid-twenties tell me I’m cool. It boosted my flagging spirits no end.
As for Justin – you can keep him, I’ll stick with Otis………
