Little Grey Fergie

Invershiel, (A87), Highlands, Scotland

The Ferguson TE20 is an agricultural tractor designed by Harry Ferguson. It was by far his most successful design, and was manufactured from 1946 until 1956.
It was commonly known as the Little Grey Fergie. It was light-weight but effective, and is a popular collector's item for enthusiasts today.
The model name came from Tractor, England 20 horsepower – not the true power delivered but from a formula based on engine size.

Invershiel is a small village on the shore of Loch Duich, just to the north of Shiel Bridge on the main A87 road.
Most people drive by without stopping on their way to Eilean Donan Castle and the Isle of Skye.
This old tractor is parked on the roadside.

A great old work horse.Seems as if this one is still in use even though there are signs of rust and many would (as you have researched) now pass it off as a collector's item...a good age to be still in working order.V

if it was stuck at the bottom of the hill (having not started on the way down) it may be one I used 50 years ago
