For this photo exhibition I translated the the "7 deadly sins" to the situation in Isreal-Palestine

With the first six deadly sins, I started from the local situation in Palestinian territory, a picture in colour, as reality looks like. On top of that I put a picture in black and white with Palestinian people, all colour vanished…… because of what reality (in colour) does with them.
For one deadly sin, SLOTH, I reversed this. These Palestinian Women and girls cry it out. The North and West doesn’t do anything, anyway not enough ... The Palestinian women and girls represent also the South ...: “Who is gaining by all this inequality they ask aloud”. All colour disappeared. Here also the West and North doesn’t pay attention ... Even we activists maintain our colour! At what price ... (that’s why I reversed the process in this picture: the cold light of reality in black and white, while the North and West is doing nothing to alter this injustice, even here activists maintain all colour ...)

Voor deze fototentoonstelling in Lovenjoel heb ik de "7 hoofdzonden" open getrokken en vertaald naar de situatie in Israel-Palestina.

Bij de eerste 6 hoofdzonden ben ik uitgegaan van de plaatselijke situatie in Palestijns gebied, een foto in kleur zoals de realiteit er uit ziet. Daarover heb ik een foto van Palestijnse personen gezet, hun afbeelding is in het zwart-wit, omwille van wat die realiteit in kleur met hen doet, alle kleur is uit hen verdwenen...
Voor 1 hoofdzonde "vadsigheid" heb ik deze gang van zaken omgekeerd. Deze Palestijnse vrouwen en meisjes roepen het uit. Het Noorden en Westen boegeert niet, toch niet genoeg... De Palestijnse vrouwen en meisjes staan ook voor het Zuiden... "Wie profiteert van al die ongelijkheid vragen ze luidop..." Alle kleur is uit hun verdwenen. Ook hier boegeert het Westen en Noorden nauwelijks... Zelfs wij activisten behouden onze kleur ! tot welke prijs... (daarom bij deze foto de omgekeerde werkwijze: de grauwe realiteit in het zwart-wit, terwijl het Noorden en Westen niets doet om dit onrecht echt te veranderen, zelfs activisten hier behouden alle kleur...)
