Hi Melody, I don't think the fabrics will come apart unless they're subjected to great stress. I don't plan to wear this garment a lot, and I doubt it will be dry cleaned either, unless absolutely necessary. It's meant to be a very special garment, and will receive very special treatment. The yarns will have more of a tendency to come off than the lining to the face fabric. Some things you felt together are really pretty permanent, and others aren't. I suppose I could go back and stitch a little if it needed it, but so far, so good.
