Myiopsitta monachus

This species was introduced from South America and is now established
in the northeastern US and Florida.
This parrot was first reported in the wild in the late 1960's, presumably
having escaped from a shipment t New York's Kennedy Airport. Since that
time, it has spread to surrounding regions of the northeast.
