Way back on Feb. 9th you left a very nice comment on one of my Smugmug gallery images and asked if I would visit your BOTANICALS ON MAUI web page. Sorry I took so long to respond: I'm not very good about checking my Smugmug comments and messages!
Your pix are VERY professional looking and the subjects are well selected for their color.
I promise to look over the unidentified individuals and send some info along in the next few days.
One thing to remember when photographing plants to be identified later: Be sure to get close-ups of buds/flowers, typical individual and clustered leaves, and a step-back shot of the entire plant. All the necessary clues critical to a correct identification will appear in those shots. I have found that just shooting a flower or some other plant part isolated from the rest of the plant can lead to incorrect IDs. So many Hawaiian flowering plants have almost identical flowers (particularly members of the Acacia family!).
