A description from the website of Rockport Marine: "NORTHERN CROWN is a 36-foot keel cutter designed by Aage Nielsen of Boston and built by Aage Walsted of Thuro, Denmark in 1956. NORTHERN CROWN is currently owned by Taylor Allen and his wife, Martha, who purchased it from Martha's father, Joel White. Rockport Marine installed a new keel plank, cast a new lead ballast and replaced top timbers as needed. NORTHERN CROWN was the first Nielsen and Walsted collaborative effort which developed into a long and fruitful relationship that produced some very fine boats."
