Lace bug, birch (Corythucha pallipes)

Reveler Conservation Area

A tiny insect which is quite pretty when seen close up. According to Bug Guide there are at least 50 species of lace bugs in this genus. Many seem restricted as to which species of tree they will feed on, others may feed on several species of trees.
