Little rascal

Sometimes I have other, unprintable, names for these guys!! I do enjoy them and feed them, but they are so ingenious that they've been able to get around every impediment I've put in their way to keep some of the feeders just for birds. As for squirrel-proof feeders, they've been able to make short work of all of them! I hoped that by providing them with three feeders, they'd leave the other 3 for the birds, but they want it all! Having said that, I really like them and they are so clever and engaging and fun to watch.

They are great fun to watch though I agree, Christine. But very clever they are too and do tend to find ways around things lol. I love this shot of a grey squirrel doing its antics...V+++

I have a squirrel baffle (simple round metal disk about 12 inches in diameter) on my feeder pole and I have not had the squirrels reach the feeder. They try by going up to the disk but they have always turned away and come back down. They are fun to watch though :-)

Great capture. I have not seen such a dark coloured squirrel. Is this a red squirrel?
