This large collection of bugs was on the underside of a basswood leaf. The smaller ones are nymphs. Lace bugs are abundant, with some species restricted to one or two plant species, others not fussy about which plant they feed on. They are tiny insects, perhaps 4-5mm for the adults, smaller for the nymphs.
