Promethea Moth caterpillars (Callosamia promethea), #7764

Found two of these tiny caterpillars on the underside of an ash tree leaf. These are early instars. In a short time they will, if they survive, turn into a large green strikingly marked caterpillar, and eventually, into a very large, very beautiful moth.
