Black-etched prominent caterpillar (Cerura scitiscripta), #7942

Found this beauty on a willow tree in Larose Forest today. Despite its lime green colour it really blends in with the leaves (I'll post another photo later to show just how well it does). The only reason I noticed it is because I noticed a dead tip of a leaf moving and there was no breeze. So I looked very closely and finally saw this guy! As an adult (moth) it is also spectacular with a beautiful black and white pattern.

It's very pretty with the green color and stripe. It resembles a leaf which probably protects it. V.
