Larose Forest

Feeding on willow. These are the larvae of a sawfly, in the Family Hymenoptera, wasps, bees and sawflies. Not flies or caterpillars!

Boy, they can do a job on a willow, gobble it to bits --those omnivorous sawflies. Amazing closeup.
