Slug eating Sarcosphaera coronaria

Slugs and snails are primary feeders on many types of fungi. Other fungi feeders include many types of fungus beetles as well as squirrels. This fungus is Sarcosphaera coronaria, a sac fungus, very rare in the Ottawa district, photographed in Marlborough Forest.
