I took this picture in about 1952, but it took me 56 years to discover that the bridge had a name and a history
apart from its particular significance for me. Look carefully under the arch: there is a seated figure; this is the
only surviving picture I have of my first sweetheart. Aaaaaahh! (Big sigh) Where are you? A message, please!

2010 update: Thinking again. I went back here intending to take another picture with my last (I hope)
sweetheart sitting under the bridge where my first had sat 58 years before. Alas, not possible: there is a
