Queen Mary Falls

The result of flooding rains at Queen Mary Falls. This large tree did not fall here but was swept down stream in the huge surge of water & topsoil. The water level on Saturday was above that man's head.
This footbridge was the only access to see the falls...I gave it a miss !!

For Gail :>) No crocs in this neck of the woods...once upon a time dinosaurs ruled though !!

Those two dinosaurs are adjusting their crocs ! ;-)
Amazing how quickly the water levels get down afterwards, well captured ! ..

So what's the deal? They are doing some touch your toes exercises in the woods? :-)

That water looks pretty angry.

Impressive what high volumes of water can do.
Guest 10-Jan-2008 07:17
is that a new thing...walking with your head down/half bend on the waist?!?! :D
somehow the couple on the right caught my eyes more so than the water. :)
Guest 10-Jan-2008 06:05
Are these two bowing before the strength of nature? Very impressive.

I like that the shot is razor sharp and that the fury of the rushing water comes through so clearly. You caught the attitude of the scene very well. Vote

This is quite dramatic. Well seen.
