I missed that one in 2005 but it is still a very impressive picture. Well seen Laine.
Chad Ramsey02-Jun-2008 00:47
Truck... what truck? :) V

I agree with your comments on lorries having also passed/followed the Road Trains (2 trailers plus main lorry)on the way to Alice Springs and never had a problem. It's all about sharing the road and respect. A Great photo too, I also have an DMC-FZ20. Voted

Well done shot. I like the way the truck's siding is "reflecting" the trees alongside the road. If only he weren't driving on the wrong side of the road!
Sheena Woodhead18-Dec-2005 18:36
Excellent defence Laine of these double trucks. Nice shot too.
JW17-Dec-2005 20:18
well done, Laine. It's our consumer society that means we need big trucks.

Great picture - well spotted
Chris17-Dec-2005 16:42
Brilliant catch. I've never seen a big rig camoflaged this way.
don nieman17-Dec-2005 13:54
Laine...how do you feel about young drivers?

This is a unique shot.
steve mcsweeny16-Dec-2005 11:35
Hehe:). Great find, good job there’s no wild life visible I could see me running into the side of the truck lol. Very nice shot, Laine.
shatterbug16-Dec-2005 08:33
Don't hold back, Laine! Tell us how you REALLY feel...lol! A nice find, quite a nice paint job on this truck!
Argishti Khachik16-Dec-2005 08:08
WOW! Excellent shot! Love this one.
Cheers

I love your truck picture(s) Laine.
Guest 15-Dec-2005 20:48
Another nice shot of a truck Laine. I like those so green trees on the background, matched with the design of the truck. :)
Johnny JAG15-Dec-2005 19:39
That's some landscape, twice.
Focus15-Dec-2005 16:59
Nice shot of a big truck.........but how do you REALLY feel about the young drivers and their loud music? LOL ;)
uofmtiger15-Dec-2005 16:37
Great new series..very unique. I am voting because A) I have never seen a truck like this B) You caught it against a perfect backdrop c) You feel the same way about those youngsters on the road d) All of the above ;-)
Coleen Perilloux Landry15-Dec-2005 14:17
The truck is one with the scenery and is beautiful. More companies ought to do this for esthetic reasons and to save eye pollution.
Guest 15-Dec-2005 12:55
This is an awesome shot!!! almost looks like the truck is transparent im parts!! Greeat photography Laine! really like this one!
Roe..15-Dec-2005 11:46
great capture..wow
Buz Kiefer15-Dec-2005 11:37
“Honestly officer, I was going along and this forest pulled out in front of me and...”

Nice shot Laine. Are those blue gum trees in the BG?
Sheila15-Dec-2005 11:26
Love the decorations. Great job. Good shot Laine!
(I've just been sent an email with photos of truck art in Germany,
if anyone is interested, email me.)

I like the way the trailers match the scenery. And I agree. It is the idiot drivers of cars that act like these huge things can stop on a dime. Here in the mountains, there are truck lanes for them so that when they can't pull the grades, people can pass.
Guest 15-Dec-2005 10:40
what a matching environmental truck!
Lee Rudd15-Dec-2005 09:31
Big truck, nice decor.

In defence, you have vast distances to cover, and - relatively - few vehicles in those distances. So these roadtrains make sense

There is certainly an issue with reckless driving - of any age!!
Zak15-Dec-2005 08:40
:-)
Valeska15-Dec-2005 07:55
Nice trucks to look at. Thanks Laine
Karen Leaf15-Dec-2005 04:44
Funny thing Laine. I haven't seen any of these around home for the longest time (maybe banned along the high traffic routes??) but I must have seen 6 when in South Carolina. It scared me as much as it used to to see them passing me going 65mph. Used to be all over the roads in the midwest.
Elaine (etfitz)15-Dec-2005 04:15
Great scenery on the truck!
Guest 15-Dec-2005 03:34
Shall we tell them, Laine, that this isn't really a LONG vehicle ... :)
Guest 15-Dec-2005 03:09
Well done, the road knights owe you on this one.
Guest 15-Dec-2005 02:48
Well seen,Laine.
The truck looks like it's trying to camouflage w/nature. :)
CJ Burianek15-Dec-2005 02:39
I think the "long vehicle" in the back is a bit of an understatement :)
Another very nice one though - love the trees on it and the trees in the background...
Guest 15-Dec-2005 01:55
Such a fun picture, with the forest on the truck and the forest behind!
Really well done, laine!
Guest 15-Dec-2005 01:49
very long truck..but i like the detail on them..nice photo
Herb 15-Dec-2005 01:49
Now we know :)
Cindy Flood15-Dec-2005 00:43
I agree that the signage might be a safety hazard. Nice catch.
laine8214-Dec-2005 23:27
I actually thought what Steve said...have never seen one with this type of advertising which I think is a bit too close to the enviro for safety....
Yvonne14-Dec-2005 23:27
We've just returned from a trip where we shared the road with lots of these
heading into the outback areas of S.A. None as colourful as this one, what a catch!
Guest 14-Dec-2005 23:24
Blending in so well..
I can imagine an australasian mammal rushing across the road to hide in the bush and trying to hop into the side of the second trailer...
Wonderful description..smashing!
Jackdad14-Dec-2005 23:23
It ought to have a sign on the back saying "very very VERY long vehicle" ! ;-)
Adalberto Tiburzi14-Dec-2005 23:02
Funny capture, LOL
;-)
Zak14-Dec-2005 22:59
