There is a sense of exhaustion and perhaps desperation in this image, Ken. It is a grab shot, and the technical flaws, such as lack of facial detail, do not keep it from expressing great urgency, which is a human value anyone can relate to. There is not much abstraction or incongruity here, so the image does not offer much food for thought beyond the initial response. But then, not all images must be thought provoking. An emotional response from the viewer is enough.
