My replacement lens is very sharp. If you get a soft lens, return it to Canon.

first gen year 2007 was crap if you purchased after 2008 no worries tack sharp!

Just bought the 24-105 & used it for the 1st time at a clients wedding last w/end on a 20D. Dissapointed with the results - images far to soft compared to what i normally get from my 17-40L. Slightly concerned that the lens has not been calibrated correctly. Any suggestions/help/experience/advise/ideas on best way to resolve would be appreciated. PD
