Sun!!

West Virginia

I really got excited this morning but it's cloudy again already.

Tech notes: Mamiya RB67 with 65mm K/L lens. Kodak TMAX 400. Developed in Kodak TMAX developer, 7 minutes at 70F. When I put a lens on the camera, I usually use it for a while and it becomes my favorite lens. This is a great lens for close ups and reminds me of the old days with my Pentax K1000 and its 50mm lens. I only had the one lens so I used it for everything including close ups. But this is a wide angle lens and I need to shoot some landscapes or buildings or something else with it.

Great idea for a shot, especially when the sun comes out! Tack sharp focus, love the hint of sun coming from the window. V

A great monochrome with a nice high key look in the background.

a novel and very effective celebration of light...the wafting curtain's shadow is a sublime touch...V

Something hardly anyone would look at becomes an object of great interest, even beauty in this image. Fine work Karen in every respect. "V"

How did you make a simple doorknob into an ethereal, floaty and heavenly composition? I love this! V

It's amazing how you can take the most simple of things and photograph them in a way that turns them into spectacular art. Love this one!

A wonderfully rich image made of something so ordinary. It is a marvelous photo with its too brief burst of sun, just enough for you to get this lovely shot. VV

Lovely image one which a lot of us can relate to.
I see as I did when I was young. The kitchen doorknob just before I grab it to go outside and play with my friends.
