The Wheel Goes Round and Round

West Virginia

Mamiya RB67 with Polaback. Fujifilm FP3000B.

I bought this toy for Queenie. She loves it especially at night. What you can't see in this photo is the little bell inside. I now put it in a drawer when I go to bed.

Other worlds can be seen here.

Mamiya RB67 ,Mamiya Sekor 90mm f3.6
1/125s f/16.0 iso3000 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Great shapes, lines, and shadows ..... simple, yet so effective!

Great capture Karen, wonderful light and shadows in this photo! I Think it hiding it in a drawer at night is a great idea! V

We have cat toys like that too! And not only because of a bell inside but also because Callie Ann likes to "talk" to her toys!

I can understand that you keep it in the drawer! Great shot! V.

HaHa, luckily our Sambal has the same day/night rythm as we have.

You learnt the hard way - no bells at night

Bright contrast is cool. I hide the toys at night too.

My cat likes a ball with a bell in it. I have to hide them too. Nice work and great use of light!

Lovely use of light and shadow. Perhaps you can train Queenie to play with it only in the morning when its time to wake up. V

I imagine that could keep you up...

Very nicely shot with the shadow.
Funny how such a little object could have a big effect on a human :-)
Mary Terry27-Nov-2011 00:54
Fun for kitty...not so much fun for her human. ;)
Stephanie26-Nov-2011 23:08
Great capture Karen! I can just hear your kitty playing with this at night! :)

The shadow implies the movement. It's easy to imagine this would be a popular toy with Queenie.... during the day. Great photo. V.

A lesson in how to take an ordinary object and make a very interesting image. V
