Displeasure Reflected

West Virginia

Polaroid SLR 680. The Impossible Project PX70 Color film which does not work in SX70 cameras but does in 600's.

This is one of the various black or mostly black stray cats I've been feeding. I have dishes of food all over my porches so they don't fight. This is the friendliest one. She did have a color with a bell when she first showed up so she was someone's pet. It was all frayed and a danger for an outdoor cat so I cut it off.

I am going to take her to the vet and have her spayed, wormed, treated for fleas and vaccinated and bring her in. She did used to try to come in until I let her and HK jumped her and fur flew everywhere while Petie, the coward chihauahau, barked his encouragement from a safe distance away.

As for the photo, I used the sonar AF which works remarkably well and flash. This is how it turned out. It's Impossible film. Always a surprise in store. :)

For the August challenge - Reflections. Other reflections can be seen here.

Our local shelter has the slogan "Who are they gonna count on?" I guess in your part of the country, it's you. Way to go. And great photo. V

You are so good to care for all your strays, and extra good booking her into the vet. She looks a real little dear. v

I like the gritty feel and what a beautiful cat. I have several that I have adopted and they all live in my backyard. This one is a beauty and I love how the eyes pop!

Love your commentary! Am very glad you are doing what you are doing as there are so many unwanted cats and it is a sad, sad thing. Kudos to you!! The photo is lovely! I have an all black cat (a stray) who has those same yellowish eyes, but this one is reflecting displeasure much better than mine does! Love it. V

You're a kind person! Nice photo because it is not easy to photograph a black cat.
