Thanks. I'm afraid the Baby Jesus was having a rather undeity-like fussy afternoon. He's facing a pretty tough assignment after all. As to the wrinkled garment in the first photo (Mary of Bethany), no that wasn't intentional. But, given her humility, we had discussed a robe color for her that was as unpretentious as possible. DF

The reverential treatment of these portraits, with judicious softening of Mary's profile, gaussian glow, and her MonaLisa-like expressions, contrasts noticeably with the objects she is pictured with--in this case the little boy, who appears to be all ID! (I wonder if Mary's scarf was deliberately left wrinkled in the first photo?) A very interesting series.
