NEWARK, NJ - At 11:35pm on March 29, while returning from a false alarm, Newark Truck 12 reported heavy smoke in the area of Halstead Street. Upon a quick investigation, they reported a working structure fire in a 3-story wood frame structure. They had heavy fire conditions on all floors with a victim jumping from the second floor. As the 1st Battalion arrived on scene, he immediately transmitted a 2nd Alarm. Shortly after, the Deputy arrived on scene and immediately transmitted a 3rd Alarm.
