BRIDGEPORT, CT - At approximately 10:45 p.m. on May 16, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 2445 Main Street for a reported electrical fire. First in companies found a 3-story brick OMD with smoke issuing from a 3rd floor window as well as from the cockloft. The fire had apparently started in a 3rd floor electrical outlet and ran up the wall into the cockloft. Members opened up walls, ceilings, and cut the roof to access and quickly stop the spread of the fire before it could spread further into the cockloft.
