After being washed away for the 2nd time my grandfather took over the debris. This is the 1/2 that was left on site, the other half washed away about 1/2 mile up the meadow to form the nucleaus of The Meadow House, which Mom and Dad have expanded considerably since they moved full time in 1979.
With it being so close to the water the decision not to invest in running electricty or phone lines has remained intact. It was a major accomplishment to get running water in the 1980's.
