I learned to play the organ there
on the two manual Sclicker.
Emily Yoder Davis was the organist,
and my teacher. In it's heyday, the
congregation had a paid octet in the
adult choir. The junior choir had at
least 20 kids. The church tower had
electronic bells that were played by
an older woman every weekday at 5:00 P.M.

My wife and I were married in Transfiguration in 1975 by the Rev. William Bayle. I loved the church for its New Enland charm and warm congregation. I'm sad to see it's no longer a church.

This was the church of my youth. I grew up on Cunard Rd. My grandmother thought it was time that I went to Sunday School, so she walked me down to this church. I have been an Episcopalian turned Anglican ever since! Unfortunately, the building is now apartments, and someone sleeps under the Transfiguration window! What an abomination!
