Church Of The Redeemer Lutheran Church

656 Elmwood Ave. Buffalo

This is quite possibly the most butchered former church building in Buffalo. The front entrance has been obliterated, the cornerstone has been filled in as to be unreadable, and an unusual glass enclosure added above the former entrance vestibule.

Yeah, those stained glass windows are probably in some antique shop somewhere ... I'd like to see what it looks like now. Anything's better than this!

I grew up going to Redeemer and what they have done to the outside of the church saddens me. I wish I could see what they have done to the inside. What has become to all the wonderful stain glass windows especially the one over the altar that was a gift from the Wm. Hengerer family. I was married at Redeemer too.

It's been remodled within the last year and looks much better.

This is disgusting ... what were the current owners thinking, and what must the former members be thinking?!
