Flume Ride

The Flume Ride was a latter year addition, and it was a quality attraction. It wasn't enough though, to turn things around.

As much as the entire park has significant meaning for me, the Log Flume ride holds an extra special place. It was there on Canada Day in 1986 that I met a girl
from Angola, NY who would turn out to be a life-long friend. I was a mere 17 years old and out with some friends to enjoy a day at the park and meet girls.
Kelly was standing immediately behind us in line with her younger sister and a friend. Once our eyes met, I knew that I was completely in "love".......with her
friend! Nothing ever happened with the friend, but Kelly and I exchanged addresses (real ones...this was before the internet folks!) and wrote to each other
often. Years have gone by, we've both married and each had two children. Every once and a while, we call each other and reminise about two teenagers
who met in the line for the Log Flume ride on that beautiful Summer day.
Thanks for posting these pictures!
