Niagara Mohawk Building

This a great looking building; designed by the local architect's, Esenwein & Johnson, who also designed Lafayette High School. The upper three tiers are traditionally lit in colorful lights at Christmas time.

I was a watchman and also ran the elevator, while going to UB--what a nice memory to come across all these years later. I left Buffalo 50 years ago

While a student at UB I was a night watchman in this building (1952)--also ran the elevator. What a memory. I left Buffalo 50 years ago and what a nice picture to come across.

Always loved this building. Never knew it was designed by same ones who did Lafayette High School (my Alma Mater).

My Dad started there with NIMO (It has just changed from Niagara Hudson in 1950) in 1954 and spent 37 1/2 years in the same building. I got hired in 1986, and have covered nearly every inch of the building fromt he boiler room to the auditorium near the top of the tower.

I remember it well. I started out as an Office Boy here on June 1, 1953.

My uncle Vince had the consession stand in the basement. Always remeber the Christmas lights on the tower.

Contrary to a popular myth, the Electric Tower (John Galen Howard) at the Pan Am was not moved to downtown Buffalo. Not even the same architect.
