Dwayne Dopsie & the Zydeco Hellraisers are about as great as Zydeco gets. We saw them play at the Krazy Korner, 640 Bourbon, corner of St Peter, a bar described by a New Orleans music paper as "A good place to go nuts..." And they are right.

Dwayne and his band worked the crowd, higher and higher, until Dwayne exclaimed he was "takin' it to the street!" Never missing a note or chord on his accordion, he leapt from the stage, and exited the club, and the crowd followed him to the center of Bourbon Street, where he continued his playing, and kept the groove going.

Some would say cheap theatrics, others great showmanship. But all agree, it was a good place to go nuts.
