Near-Abstract Flag

Indan Creek Ranch, Colorado, USA

This is a really intresting image. Taken during a high wind of a flag up on top of a hill with a fairly low shutter speed, the shot did not look like much. But with the X3F Fill Light feature of SPP (similar to Shadows and Highlights in Photoshop) turned all the way down, sharpening and saturation all the way up, the pcture became very interesting. The flag itself looks tattered but it was a full flag, flapping in the wind - the extreme adjustments to the image lent it the tattered looky you seee here.

This would be a good image for Memorial Day as it seems to be somewhat sad in feeling.
