Finally I had a chance to take some more pictures of the night sky. They are not great by any means, but they are the best I have captured of these objects to date. This image of the Andromeda Galaxy was taken using a Canon 20D, a 300mm f/4 lens, and a 160 second exposure at 1600 iso. For all of these astro photos I mounted my camera and lens on the back of a telescope that has a clock drive to track the stars. Some adjustments were also done in Photoshop to reduce the effect of noise in these images, and to make the backgrounds darker.
