Thanks slav_m. That was a while ago - here's my post when I did it: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1006&message=4975166 Basically a lot of cloning and using the brush tool set to 'color' in photoshop. Probably would do it differently today :-)

Can you give me some pointers on how you did this. Must be photoshop -- but how? Selections then playing wiht color composition? Seems to time consuming. What's the secret?
