DSC_6769 Ceramics of the Jin dynasty.jpg

In 1115, the Jurchens established their empire in the northeast part of China. The tribe
developed agriculture, textile and ceramics industry based on the Liao and Song cultures.
The early stage of ceramics production in the Jin was more primitive. After negotiation
with the southern Song dynasty, a peaceful period gave rise to the development of the
making of ceramics. Examples of Jin ceramic wares in Central China have been found in
the Ding kiln in Hebei province, the Jun kiln in Henan and Yaozhou kiln in Shaanxi.
