Another example of how to increase the risk of injury by unneccesarily lifting the bow of a capsized boat out of the water. It is much safer to drain the boat by rolling it over while the weight is supported by the rescuer's foredeck. In anything but ideal conditions the swimmer is at risk of being swept off the upturned stern of his boat.It is interesting to see this behaviour by certified kayakers during an intermediate paddle.
