These galleries are my feeble attempt at doing portraits. I have a real hard time with indoor lighting but ... like someone once said ... practise makes perfect. If nothing else I have had some fun doing them.

Use of lighting is a learned skill as my son and other relatives , who work or worked in Vancouver's film industry explain to me. One of the reasons for Vancouver's film industry is the continued presence of overcast skies there. Direct sunlight forces continued need to work around it, while they can provide any light they need artificially from any direction when it is overcast. I agree all of your Ladies look great. >>> Dick

Dont be so hard on yourself, indoor light is tricky in it's own right. It presents different challenges than shooting outdoors in an uncontrolled environment.
