Please sign the online petition created by Friends of The Upper Room that will be sent to the owners of the building. It prayerfully asks them to consider all avenues available to them in saving the property from rumored demolition, including possibly selling it at a reduced price to another ministry or group of ministries OR donating the building to another ministry. I pray that The Upper Room will be saved! The petition can be found at:

This is so sad to see. No matter what happened, God DID use Jim and Tammy to touch people's lives. I am one of them. I got saved through their ministry.

Does anybody know what happened to "Gary", the actor who portrayed Jesus in the Passion Play ? What is his last name ?

Rest in peace, Tammy Faye.

I worked in the upper room as a phone counsellor..I pulled the midnight shift and was really blessed by the variety of different people God allowed me to minister to... I even talked to Neil Diamond one time......it was quite awesome actually....I attended the healing services upstairs practically every night that I worked there and saw the Lord's hand at work. Jim and Tammy weren't there but GOD was and GOD gets the glory for the things HE has done......

This room is gone, it was torn down to make way for a two lane road that is going to connect to the new Junior High School and High School

I just came from Fort Mill and saw the old entrance but didn't go in--after seeing these photos--it is sad to see---I was a frequent visitor to PTL with my family in the 80's and just have wonderful memories of family times spent together whether we were swimming, camping, attending church services--visiting the Upper Room--I know a lot happened and it is so sad, my marriage ended in a divorce and to see the decay of this place is another reminder of things lost from my past, For all of the bad things that happened some good things did happen and my family has the wonderful memories that we shared, I would love to see the park re-opened with a Christian theme and let other families share happy times-not all things that happened there were bad, we have memories that we shall treasure forever and I do not harbor ill feelings to Jim or Tammy--God loves us all and he forgives us and I am thankful that they built the park--to share with us --if just for a little while--the memories will last forever and overshadow the bad times--memories are priceless and I will always remember our times spent there--we were safe and felt like we had a place to go---a haven from the world--!

what great memories I have on the upper room! As a pre-teen we traveled there many summers, and I remember praying on my very own for the first time in the upper room. What a wonderful place heritage usa was!
