This is an example of the mixed street scenes with old, modern and Soviet era influences. The emblem at the roof line of the hotel is, if I am not mistaken, that of the Soviet Baltic Fleet. The building on the left also carries the Soviet star. The church in the background is typical of Tallinn's historic old town and busy street life and the street café with the umbrellas represent the present time.
