My last name is " VANK ", John. Born and raised in Canada. My father was born in Hungary 1912, immigrated with his parents (my grandparents) in 1925. His name and his father's name was John (English version). The first born son in the family's where named after their grandfather's (and father) Tradition ?
Anyways, I do have a question. Because of my last name would my ancestory go back to Armenia and then to Iran ? If you have an answer or question contact me at jhcvank@sympatico.ca

I am looking for the information where I can attend the Holy Mass on Sunday in Iran. Places, address, HOURS. I am Roman Catholic, but I would be grateful for news on any Catholic church, eg. Chaldean... Please let me know...e-mail: artemisa@autograf.pl

Quand je suis passé à Ispahan en 1973, on désignait cette église et le quartier voisin sous le nom de "Djolfa"

I was able to get some images from inside the church (normally photography is banned inside, as you know Mehdi!). They are about half way down this page:http://www.pbase.com/dflynch/iran

My photos outside were rather dull as I ran out of time!

I am Jackson Tan Said Meng. I am a Malaysian Chinese and my age is 52 years old. I came to Iran ( Tehran/Esfahan/Shiraz) in February 2007 and have enjoyed the splendid end of winter. In Esfahan, I was indeed very surprise to see a church. I am also a Christian (evangelical christian and born again). I hope to visit beautiful Esfahan again and being able to step into a church to see for myself the beauty of its architectural built. I hope to meet some Iranian Jew and learn about their lifestyle.

I am an Armenian Iranian. I have to admit that the Iranian people are the most kind and compassionated people in the world. Let God bless them.

Such beautiful arched windows and the gorgeous blue tile. I enjoy the way you have framed the photo from under another arch.
