doe. dinner in the pond

Forest County in Wisconsin

...she's beautiful, but there are too many
deer here in northern Wisconsin; they need
a wolf or two for the health of the herds..
not to mention the chronic wasting disease...

other sizes: small medium original auto

This is such a pretty image of a pretty animal. Very nice, Jypsee.

Beautiful, where we live seeing deer is very rare, there aren't that many left. Why don't you send some of your's over here? Excellent picture!

So unusual to see a deer in water--superb capture! Colors are great too.

umm...well, there are LOTS of hunters in Wisconsin but they can't seem to make a dent in the deer population; deer thrive on the shrubs and weeds that grow in disturbed earth -- like construction sites....wolves are returning to Wisconsin but they aren't in numbers great enough yet to control the deer population; we use cars for that :^)

Umm...well they could just bring in some hunters. :-)

Beautiful colors.

Beautiful. Love the swampy green. And I thought this was a moose at first when I saw the water, but I guess they're in the same family more or less. Interesting, though.
Humans know how to fix everything, don't they...

Beautiful indeed
have you tried to see about having maybe a pair of wolves admitted to the area?
