I was in 2nd 39th field artillery in 1976 to 1977 this was the barracks I was in. Mess hall in the foreground. Lynn Lake

Amazing! These were the same barracks I was in. Service Battery, 2nd of the 39th F. A, from 73 through 74. Your pictures of Graf, also bring home a lot of memories. It was a horrible muddy mess in Winter, or dusty as hell in Summer! I see the relief of the iron jawed German solders, throwing potato mashers, were still there in 1978. I drove Service 9, which was a POL truck. I handled the diesel fuel, and also manned the on site service station behind the mess hall. I can still smell the diesel fumes that hung around the parking / motor pool areas, especially in Winter. Looking back now... those were great times !!
