This morning light was great for photograhy. Just before dawn a group of duck hunters in a pickup truck drove past the pond and fired two shots out the door, flushing the majority of the cranes. Still, the remainder of the morning flight here took over 2 hours before most of the birds were gone for the day and out foraging for food.
